Merry Christmas (late)! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We had a great time. Chad was actually off Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for the first time ever. Bryce was so excited and surprised opening his gifts! Watching him was just so precious. He is always so appreciative for his gifts and I love that about him.
We had a good time with both familes. Lots of good times, laughs, food and gifts! All 4 of the nephews and 1 niece on my side of the family spent the night with Bryce on the 26th. Chad was at work so it was me against the 6 wild ones. They are all between 9 and 4 years old. They were really good and we had a great time. Those of you that really know me, know that people in my house totally freaks me out. I just feel on edge the entire time. This sleep over was spur of the moment so I didn't have time to think about it or freak out until they were there. I actually did ok. I even shocked myself. Nothing was broken ;) so I'm very thankful for that! I'll try to post some pics this week! I didn't take very many pics this year, not sure what was wrong with me!
If I don't post again before - Happy New Year! I hope you will all have a blessed 2009!

ALIVE!
Yes, I'm still alive for those of you that wondered :) Thanks for the emails checking on me!
Life continues to be very busy - Bryce is playing basketball and indoor soccer. I am so very proud of him! He's on a U9 soccer team (he's 6) so he's learning a lot and he's hanging with the big boys very well!
On the TTC front - as if you aren't sick of hearing about it :) I think I am finally in a place where I'm ok with being done. I kept the infant nursery at church last night and while I loved every second of holding those babies, I think I can move on. Think being the key word. We'll see in time if I'm really ready to let go or not. This has been such a hard, humbling and painful journey. I have learned a lot of important lessons thru this.
I hate to always be a downer but I got some really sad news Friday that I hope you guys will pray about. A co-worker's 14 year old daughter was killed late Thursday. She and a friend were at Hardee's waiting on the friend's mom to pick them up to take them to dance. When the mom pulled in, she missed the brake and pinned the girl between the car and the building killing her immediately. She was an only child conceived by IVF, a true miracle baby. I know both families are devastated. Please pray for them. That has really helped open my eyes to how truly blessed I am.
On to happier things....anyone planning on going to Scrap Etc in Atlanta next year? I'd really like to go but not sure I can swing it. Atlanta would ROCK though!

Random
So, once again, a week between posts. Life is just crazy at times.
Bryce's sports are still going great. He has 3 more football games, 4 more soccer games and then we're done....until basketball season that is.
Several people have asked about Chad, he is doing well as long as he takes his meds when he's supposed to ;) he goes back for a check up soon.
I've missed the last 3 days of work with a %*$#) kidney stone. I finally passed it a little while ago and feel much better but very tired. I missed Bryce being announced on the football field at the high school game tonight so I'm totally bummed about that.
A little heart to heart.....As most of you know, it was a long, 2 year struggle to get pregnant with Bryce. I am soooo very blessed to have him in my life and I praise and thank God for giving me such a wonderful child. We tried for almost a year starting last August, to have another baby. So 1 year, 2 IUI's (sorry for too much info) later, we have not been able to have another child. I still desire another child so badly that it hurts. I had to keep the infant nursery at church Sunday night and just smelling the babies brought me to tears. Chad has really moved on from the idea and has come to peace with the fact that its just not going to happen. I, on the other hand, have not been able to find that peace. I have prayed and begged God to please either give me the baby that I want so badly OR give me the peace to move on. There are days when I get sooo mad and frustrated that other people seem to be able to have babies by just looking at each other. People that don't care about and love their children, can pop them out like its nobodies business. I just don't understand, I really don't. I know that God is perfect and has a reason for everything, its just hard to see it at times. Ok, not sure why I felt the need to share that with you guys but I hope that you will pray for me.
Love you guys! Have a great weekend!

So.....
Its Friday - yay!! I've been lacking on the blog psoting because there has been a lot going on so I'll try to fill you in a little.
First, I told you that I would let you know about Chad's tests, etc. We didn't get very good news but its definitely not as bad as it could have been. Seems he has chronic ulcerative colitis. Being a RN and knowing what this can potentially mean in his future, he was really upset with the news initially. He is handling it better now and the meds they have him on seem to be controlling the symptoms well for now. We are very thankful for that. This means that he is always at risk for a flare up, he is at a higher risk for colon cancer and will have to have routine colonoscopies often. Potentially it can affect him very little or a lot depending on how things go. Your prayers would be appreciated.
Second, Bryce and sports. Good gravy that kid is keeping me busy! He is still playing fall soccer and football. Still loves both and keeps us busy almost every evening. He has homework every night so trying to balance that with practice and games proves to be challenging some days. He and Chad had to have a come to Jesus meeting about both of their attitudes about sports. It got ugly this week but I think they've finally talked through it. They are both soooo competitive and stubborn that they don't see eye to eye at times.
Third, the diet world. Well, there is a program that is all the rage here. Everyone I know that has been on it has lost tons of weight. Well, I've been on it for a while and I've been walking most days of the week and haven't lost a thing. After doing some research I think that stupid Adrenal gland deal from the summer has affected me more than I realized. Seems when you have adrenal gland failure, you can't lose wait like other people. So, I've found an adrenal gland support/weight loss pill at GNC that I'm going to try to see if that helps at all. Why can't my body do anything right?!?!?!
Fourth, work. It has calmed down some. We start new software on the 14th so I'm sure there will be some kinks with that. Looks like I'll be in my current job for about 6 more weeks and then we'll see where we are in regards to me switching to my new position. With the current market, I'm very afraid that there will not be enough loan volume for me to go into the planned position so please pray that something great will work out! I'm secretly hoping they will make me the marketing person for the Western team of the Secondary Mortgage Dept!
Guess that's enough rambling for today ;) Hope you have a great weekend! GO HOKIES!!!

Recap
Well, its been a busy couple of days here....pics are out of order so the story will be too....
Tonight was the first flag football game of the season, Bryce can't wait until next year so he can play pads/helmets :) Their team only had the ball on offense a total of 4 times because the other team was so slow at setting up their plays - it literally took them over 10 minutes to run 4 plays, soooo frustrating. Anyway, Bryce played awesome on defense! He scored one of his teams 3 touchdowns. They seriously only got to run about 7 plays on offense - they would score as soon as they got the ball. They are the maroon team - he's #5, like Tyrod!

2nd soccer game - 8:15 am on Saturday - urghhhhhh. They tied 3-3, Bryce scored 2 of his team's goals!

Big B suckered his way in to coming home with us on Saturday because he wanted me to cut his hair - he ended up staying with us most of the weekend. Bryce loves for him to come, they have so much fun. Bryce was completely exhausted and grumpy by the time Big B left so he decided on his own that he needed to go spend some time alone in his room. He was REALLY quiet for a while so Chad went to check on him and look what he found!! Bryce had handcuffed himself and fallen asleep the wrong way in his bed - LOL!!! Can't wait to pull these pics out when he gets married ;)

So, that's a quick recap of life here. We have soccer practice this week and then a soccer and a football game on Saturday. The football team is supposed to walk in VT's homecoming parade but Bry has a soccer game during it so we'll be doing soccer.
Catch up with you guys later this week!

Is it really Wednesday already!??!?!
This week has flown by!!! We moved our offices today to another floor in the building. I like my new office, I still have a big window with a view, nicer furniture and 2 big book cases to put Bryce's pictures in!!
Getting up Saturday morning about killed me :) Bryce scored 4 of his team's 5 goals. They won 5-4. Here is what our very foggy morning looked like (Bryce is #9 on the "teal" team)
